Topic: Does Subdump/DiscImageCreator work if Connect thru PATA/USB Enclosure

Hi! Since most of the certified drive requires PATA connection. Does subdump/DiscImageCreator work if I connecting the DVDRW drive through PATA to USB Enclosure/Cable?

I see some used drives flowing around
Plextor PX-708A
Plextor PX-712A
Plextor PX-716A
Plextor PX-755A
Plextor PX-760A

This one seems more difficult to find. (The only SATA model)
Plextor PX-760SA

Hi, the list with supported drives are very missleading, actually all Plextor drives that support d8 mode should work, the drives listed in the guide, is drives that currently is owned by a dumped and has been tested, all PX-7**SA drives should work though

Thanks.

After some googling, here is some findings

1) For DVDRW drive, only PX-7XX drive using Sanyo chip supports D8 read
2) PX-740, PX-750 and PX-751 do NOT support D8 read
3) PX-712SA, PX-716SA, PX-755SA may/should work
4) There are some Plextor CDRW drive supports/partially support D8 read too
